On 9th of December 2017 in Taragaon museum, EduLift organised a book launch event as well the final event of Art and Language program 2017. EduLift heartily welcomed more than 50 guests i.e. school principals , school headmasters and teachers, NGO directors, Education officer, media personnel’s, parents, collaboration partners and students. The event started
with a welcome speech by Mr. Tenzin Sonam Gonsar – Founder of EduLift and followed by a beautiful welcome song by a student from Namgyal High School. The event then took off with
beautiful Nepali poems by our students from Kushadevi and Balchandra School, Kavre. A poetic talk on Environmental issues was also performed by one of our Namgyal High student
and a drama on ‘Education system” was performed as well.
Entertainment portion was filled with traditional Nepali dance performances from Srongtsen School and yet another song by one of our student. After the performances wad done, a 30 minute tea break was conducted for the audience to witness beautiful and creative paintings and art pieces made by our art and design students and also for the students to interact to a larger audience and explain their group projects and surely, the audience loved the art pieces and the energy of our students.
After the tea break, it was time for the official launch of the book. Audiences were very eager and excited to know about the book and the story behind it. Tenzin Sonam did a presentation on the book and the overall reason behind publishing a curriculum book and also explained the contents of the book clearly. The launch then had a question and answer session where, audiences’ questions and queries were answered very precisely by Tenzin Sonam.
