Explore after SLC is a 2 months course designed for students who have completed their SLC (government examination during class 10). During this time when students are waiting for their SLC results, it’s critical for them to gain exposure and skills through practical projects as SLC is a very theoretical challenge.
EduLift has selected 32 students from all the applications received because we focus more on quality education and achieving results than over quantity, taking into account that it’s the first year we are offering this course.
Students’ background: 16 Tibetan refugees, 10 Nepali students from children homes, 6 from under-privileged backgrounds
Course period: from 15th April to 21st June
Course timing: From Sunday to Thursday from 1pm to 5pm
Course objectives:
- Exposure: meeting inspiring people from different fields who are solving community problems with creative ideas, passion and dedication.
- Learning through Action: every week students have to solve one challenge in a group. These challenges have real purpose, real audience and real outcome. Through these challenges students learn life-skills (team work, collaboration, communication, confidence, technology…) and learn to view problems as opportunities.
- Career Counselling: our students receive individual counseling, we help them to explore their interests and build a systematic career path.
The EduLift team is very excited with this new project and we will continue to keep you updated through our webpage and newsletters.
